ASSET INFORMATION
- Assets of a Grama Panchayat are public properties and infrastructure owned or controlled by the Grama Panchayat. The main assets are:
- Panchayat office buildings and ancillary buildings
- Land and sites owned by the Gram Panchayat
- Gram Panchayat roads, bridges, culverts
- Street lights and electrical systems
- Drinking water schemes, wells, tanks, pump houses
- Public toilets
- Markets, shopping complexes, commercial buildings
- Community halls, auditoriums
- Anganwadi buildings (owned by the Panchayat)
- Libraries, reading rooms
- Playgrounds, parks
- Cemeteries, graveyards
- Waste treatment centres, infrastructure of Haritha Karma Sena
- Ponds, streams, other water bodies (under the control of the Panchayat)
- Bus shelters
- Vehicles, tractors, waste collection vehicles

In Kerala, the management, registration, valuation and protection of Gram Panchayat assets are carried out in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Local Self Government Department and the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 and its related rules.
